| This photograph was taken in 1938. Many other shopkeepers occupied this old shop, Henry Ayres, Albert Ayres in the mid to late 1800s, George Downing and William Downing up to the 1930s. Arthur Gilby moved in in 1938 and was succeeded by his son Roy. The shop closed a few years ago. |
