The building of St Nicholas Owen Roman Catholic Church in Kettering Road was started towards the end of 1970, completed in the summer of 1971 and was opened on 2 March 1972.  (Click here for press report on the opening.) It had been four centuries since there was last a Catholic Church in Burton Latimer.  Prior to the building of the new church Sunday Mass was held in the British Legion rooms for twenty-seven years. The church is situated in Kettering Road. (Click here for further information.)
