Burton Latimer Orchestra

1912

Well, that's what the postcard caption says(!), even if some people wouldn't count eleven people as constituting an orchestra. Once again, no details accompany this surviving image, and if anyone can supply any information, the Society would be grateful.

The only names we have thus far are: L-R - Horace Brown Jr, ?, ?, Horace Brown Sr, ?, Gladys Haynes, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?

The musicians are standing outside "The Limes", the building which stands at right angles to the street at the far right-hand end of Meeting Lane. The building once served as a Manse for the Baptist Chapel. That suggests that the people here might have some connection with Mr Ward, who was living at The Limes at the time
