Traffic had to be diverted yesterday morning after a heavily loaded lorry became entangled with a tree on the A6 at Burton Latimer.

The lorry, carrying a large digger cab, had difficulty passing an overhanging tree as it entered Burton Latimer from the direction of Kettering. The lorry and its load were about 20 feet high.

Traffic coming in the other direction was diverted via Station Road and Polwell Lane for a time until the load successfully negotiated the obstacle.
