The original letters form part of the Stowe Collection at the Huntington Library, San Marino, California, USA, copies of which were purchased by the Burton Latimer Heritage Society with part of the grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2005. They were written by the Reverend Dr. Robert Sybthorpe to his father-in-law Sir John Lambe and cover the period between April 12th and July 4^th 1639 when Sybthorpe’s concern was growing about the perceived threat locally from the puritans.
