Glendon Lodge

Glendon Lodge in 1932
Glendon Lodge in 1932 at the time William C. Sharman was living and working there

This lodge was on the eastern side of the A6 Burton to Finedon road. It could be reached by way of a track midway between Buccleuch Farm and Black Lodge. Glen Sharman (who gave us the photograph above) tells us that his Great-great grandfather William Coles Sharman lived and worked there and his mother Iris Sharman was born there. The photograph below was taken in 1965 and the Lodge has since been demolished.
